Favoritos de los Lagos!
As we were eating a delicious torte at Cassis in Pucon after 4 fabulous days in Los Lagos, we asked everyone what were their favorite things about Los Lagos. And here is what we said:
ALIYA
(1) Almost lost my tooth
(2) The Green Lagoon
(3) The cabins felt like Cranberry
(4) But the best, were the yummy cakes and sweets at Cassis
ASHER
(1) Lava Lakes at Conguillio where the volcano erupted and made dry lava
(2) Mapuche village and statue. I liked the knits on the wall.
(3) Big hike. I liked the great accomplishment of hiking a long distance.
BEN
(1) Beautiful snow capped volcanos
(2) Vistas with mountains and glacial lakes
(3) Hiking in pristine national park with extremely well marked and maintained trails.
RAQUEL
(1) Both of our long hikes
(2) The amazing contrast between the white snow, the black hardened lava, the yellow flowers, the bright blue sky, and the greenish blue lagos!

Ketchup on Pizza?!?!
We were at the Family Day (“Kermesse”) for Asher’s school (Mackay) and when we were ordering some pizza, Asher said to make sure we asked for it “sin ketchup” (without ketchup)!
So it turns out that most kids put not just a little but a TON of ketchup on their pizza.
