Until We Meet Again

We were just marveling at how fast a month can fly as we were watching from above as the San Francisco faded into the distance

Highlights of September and October include
- Chez Panisse

- Walking the bridge with Isa

- Marin farmers market

- Touring of neighborhood: Castro, Chinatown, Mission

- Napa: Chandon & Historic theatre

- Our view from our apartment at 752 Francisco

- Harbour ferries

What surprised us:
- Juxtaposition of a booming city with empty buildings – both commercial and residential
- Walking so much with my wife
- How steep Filbert is
- Smell of weed everywhere and so much smoke
- How beautiful September is
- How many festivals SF has – every weekend there were 2 or 3 activities
- People walk around naked at festivals
- How good Waymo tech is
- How precise the subways are
- Gorgeous architecture everywhere
- How concerned local San Franciscans are with how their city is being depicted outside of SF (SF is doing so much better than where it was a few years ago, so many locals are frustrated with how their city is being portrayed)
- Pervasiveness and easy access to wine/alcohol and smoking in places which is radically different from MA
What are we looking forward to when we return
- Celebrating the holidays with everyone together
- More ferry trips
- A cable car ride with the kids
- More amazing SF food from all over the world made with fresh ingredients
And the beauty of life is that when you leave a wonderful place, a new adventure and beauty awaits: check out the view from our arrival into Boston
