The Center of the World!

Here we are at the Center of the World: 0 Latitude!

Where we did experiments with water to see the Coriolis Effect:  water whirled clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere, counter-clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere, and just went straight down on the equator!

We tried balancing an egg on a nail.

Raquel was the only one in our group who won a certificate for balancing the egg!

We also saw some other very unique things from Indigenous tribes, like shrunken heads:

And techniques for preventing Candiru – Ecuadorian river fish – from swimming up urethras. After seeing this Aliya said, “I’m passing on swimming today!”
