Humans Should Never Drive Again!

So far we have been in 3 Waymos

and after the first ride, Raquel exclaimed, “Humans should never drive again!”

The Waymo can see people, bikes, animals, vehicles, and all obstacles 360 degrees – in front of you, behind you, to all sides, around buildings! It sees what’s coming, what’s going, and can shift around moving objects.

One of the wildest experiences we had was when our Waymo came to a road closure and the construction workers tried to wave us to the right but our Waymo chose to go left. Check out the construction workers’ reactions!

We even had fun taking our niece along on her very first Waymo ride!

In addition to Waymo’s, there are the new Amazon backed Zoox, but we noticed that they are still only in their testing phase and are much more timid than the more aggressive Waymo’s.

This Zoox kept going back and forth and back and forth about a foot or 2, having challenges navigating around double parked vehicles (which there are a lot of in San Francisco)!
